COGITO MACHINA / OUR ENDEAVOURS
Minds. Machines.
Culture.
Cogito Machina explores how intelligence can extend what we understand, create and do. We take inspiration from human culture and seek to contribute to it through ideas, experiments and technology.
Our work connects the study of minds with the practice of building thinking machines. Robotics and artificial intelligence are part of that journey, alongside a broader interest in how technology can enrich human life.
Affordable robotics: Rovo 1
Rovo 1 is our robot in development, bringing together a mobile base, a programmable lifter, dual arms and a vision system. We’re working toward a machine people can understand, build and modify, using accessible components.
Embodied artificial intelligence
The Cogito Machina embodied intelligence platform connects perception, cognition and action. It explores how agents can understand their surroundings and act in the physical world, with simulation as a place to develop and investigate behaviours.

Ideas, cognition and human–AI symbiosis
Our Blog explores cognition, thinking machines and the relationship between humans and AI. We ask how minds relate to bodies and environments—and how artificial systems might become useful companions in creating a shared future.
Taking inspiration. Contributing in return.
We see culture as a source of questions, imagination and purpose. Our ambition is to add to it: tools that expand what people can do, ideas that invite discussion, and machines that support human creativity and agency.
Follow the next chapter of Cogito Machina as these endeavours develop.
